Ambient
Summary:
AQI (Air Quality Index) network monitoring provides general pollutant data and gives administrative support; whereas source analysis demonstrates the formulation of pollutants. The combination of two approaches gives specific evidence of ambient forecast and right solution for treatment.

Programme Overview

The air quality index or AQI is developed by US EPA to make information available about air pollutants and how to avoid their effects. These monitored components include particulate matter (PM2.5 and PM10), Ozone (O3), Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2), Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), and Carbon Monoxide (CO) emissions, which are the most common air pollutants with proven ill effects on human health.

To meet these requirements, FPI launched their ambient air quality monitoring system, which adopts US EPA certification and Chinese national standard test method for real-time online monitoring, data acquiring and collecting, data transmitting, and analyzing to evaluate the local environmental air quality level objectively and precisely. The monitoring components include all the above pollutant elements. In addition, CO2, NOy, H2S, NH3 monitoring modules can be integrated into the complete system.

Programme Composition

FPIs ambient air monitoring system consists of a sampling subsystem, a gas dynamic calibration subsystem, a meteorological parameters monitoring subsystem, a standard parameters monitoring subsystem, and a data acquisition and processing subsystem.

Standard Parameter Monitoring Subsystem:

  • AQMS-300 Ozone Analyzer: It measures ambient O3 concentration in ppb level by utilizing UV photometric absorption technology.
  • AQMS-400 Carbon Monoxide Analyzer: It measures ambient CO concentration by employing non-dispersive infrared with gas filter correlation method technology.
  • AQMS-500 Sulfur Dioxide Analyzer: It applies UV fluorescence technology with the photomultiplier tube(PMT) to measure SO2.
  • AQMS-600 Nitrogen Oxides Analyzer: It utilizes chemiluminescence technology stipulated by US EPA as the federal reference method for monitoring multiple forms of nitrogen oxides.
  • AQMS-100 Zero Air Generator: It provides ultra-pure, pollutant-free zero air for calibrating the ambient air quality monitor's zero point.
  • AQMS-200 Multi-Point Calibrator: It utilizes two mass flow controllers to perform standard zero and span calibration with up to 4 gas sources.
  • BPM-200 Continuous Particulate Monitor: It uses well-applied beta-ray attenuation technology to assess ambient particles. PM2.5 can also be measured by creating a comparable cyclone.

Features Of The Scheme
  • It can automatically perform continuous sampling and analysis, requiring human intervention.
  • It is integrated with a data collection and transmission system, allowing for data transmission, remote control operation, automatic fault diagnosis and alert notifications.
  • It is designed to be comprehensive, precise, and provide reliable data collection and transmission.
